The New York Post is one of the oldest newspapers still published in the United States. It was founded by Alexander Hamilton in 1801 as the New-York Evening. Daily circulation is around 680,000 and it is one of the most read newspapers in New York City.
The advertising department handles tens of thousands of transactions and required a CRM solution that enabled the consolidation of customer information into a single unified database. The department, in addition to data capture also needed the ability to connect our accounts to appointments and to sales representatives. Furthermore we have standard operating procedures in place that needed to be automated. We were not about to change our procedures to accommodate the software. After a careful evaluation of several solutions we selected Commence because we liked its flexibility, ease of use and reasonable cost to implement and maintain. We have been using Commence for almost a decade and it has enabled us to continue to grow and change with our business environment. We have even integrated the solution to our back office accounting system allowing us to maintain customer purchases and payment history within Commence. This is extremely valuable to our sales team who can immediately have a snapshot of customer accounts, order and payment history.

Evangelical Community Hospital

Our hospital was looking for a flexible helpdesk application but we could not find one with the features we were looking for. In addition, our staff already had a heavy workload which necessitated that any CRM program be simple and require a minimal amount of user input. .We considered writing our own application, but didn’t have the time or resources to invest in a project of that nature. The only real solution was a customizable application that would allow us to shape it to our needs. After a four-month search, we choose Commence.

We decided to on Commence because it offered a high degree of flexibility through customization. We were able to quickly setup and deploy the program with a minimal amount of user training, then make changes as needed “on the fly”. The automation features that can be built into the application simplify or eliminate many of the mundane documentation tasks that were keeping our staff from recording important calls and events. With the addition of the Allure web server, we even accept requests via the corporate intranet.

We are now also using Commence for publishing system event and downtime notifications, project management, calendaring, and a host of other things not considered in the original project….all attributable to the flexibility of the Commence CRM application.
