Intacct Sees Big Upswing in Salesforce.com Customers
SAN JOSE, Calif. — October 10, 2006 — Intacct Corporation, the leader in on-demand financial applications, today reported strong demand in the first quarter of 2007 from Salesforce.com subscribers who want to integrate customer relationship management (CRM) applications with Intacct’s Web-based financial management suite. Bringing together functionality from Intacct and Salesforce.com lets users create quotes, convert quotes to sales orders, check real-time inventory, manage invoices and gain a 360-degree view of their businesses directly from Salesforce.com.
“In the early days of software as a service, companies tracked sales with Web-delivered applications,” said Robert J. Jurkowski, CEO and president of Intacct. “The second wave of adoption, and a far more critical phase in the on-demand software evolution, is the deployment of financial applications at the core of the enterprise to run key business processes. Together with Salesforce.com, Intacct ushers in the next stage of Web-based enterprise applications by offering small and midsize businesses a fully integrated solution to operate both the front and back office.”

Intacct has developed three on-demand financial management solutions specifically for Salesforce.com users, including Order Management, Expense Management and Financial Management:
Order Management for Salesforce.com lets you use the familiar tabs in Salesforce.com to create sales quotes, convert existing quotes to orders, verify pricing and inventory, and track fulfillment in real time. From the Accounts tab in Salesforce.com, for example, you can see customer aging, customer backlogs and transaction ledgers. You also can monitor order status, order analysis, sales register, sales analysis and shipments. Sales representatives see complete customer records, including billing issues and support cases. Warehouse managers can instantly view approved sales orders on the dashboard, and finance staff has insight into support issues when calling customers to collect payments.
Expense Management for Salesforce.com streamlines expense reporting, reimbursement and receipt management. As a result, you are better equipped to control costs, ensure regulatory compliance, and analyze spending patterns to evaluate employee policies. Employees remotely located can enter expense reports directly in Salesforce.com. Claims are then automatically routed to supervisors for approval. Once the expense report is approved, the accounting staff processes the bill and issues a check or an online payment. Employees can view the status of their expense reports in the approval and payment cycle, or review their entire expense history online. Supervisors and accounting staff may issue advance payments before employees incur large expenses.
Financial Management for Salesforce.com lets you connect Salesforce.com to Intacct’s Small Business or Enterprise suites. It’s the easiest way to add accounting, supply chain, business intelligence and project management to a CRM solution. With every data entry, the information in Intacct and Salesforce.com is automatically synchronized. This eliminates business information silos and enables you to run an entire company on the best CRM and financial software on the Web. With Financial Management, sales representatives can manage opportunities from quote to order. Accounting has insight into customer support issues when collecting payments. And business managers can instantly react to new orders published on the role-based dashboard.
