Sage Software Demonstrates New Warehouse Automation Module at Atlantic Design & Manufacturing Show
Irvine, Calif. - June 6, 2006 - Sage Software is demonstrating its new Warehouse Automation module for its award-winning Sage MAS 500 ERP business management solution in Booth #300 at the Atlantic Design & Manufacturing show June 6 – 8, here at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. The Warehouse Automation module is ideal for distribution companies taking advantage of the dwindling cost of wireless networking equipment to improve the efficiency of their warehouse operations. By supporting handheld barcode scanners and radio frequency (RF) communications with the core Sage MAS 500 ERP system, the Warehouse Automation module greatly improves data entry accuracy, increasing workflow efficiency throughout the entire organization.
Sage MAS 500 with Warehouse Automation simplifies data entry by automating routine warehouse tasks, including Receipt of Goods; Warehouse Transfers; Bin Transfers; Sales Returns; Cycle Counts; Physical Counts; and Picking, Packing and Shipping. The Warehouse Automation module seamlessly integrates with Sage MAS 500 ERP system, which validates data collected by handheld scanners and maintains real time updates to a single database. Handheld processing can continue during an unintentional disconnection from RF communication (i.e. the user walks out of RF range or if RF network power is disrupted) thus allowing critical time-sensitive warehouse activities to continue. Once RF communication is re-established, the handheld user runs the Synchronizer, which validates the data and sends it to Sage MAS 500.
The Warehouse Automation demonstration is part of Sage Software’s ongoing “Supply Chain Road Show,” a showcase of end-to-end software solutions specifically designed to meet the evolving supply chain needs of today’s distribution and manufacturing businesses. Along with select development partners, Sage Software is educating attendees at more than eight industry events throughout 2006 on the innovative, industry-tailored solutions available today from Sage Software and Sage Software business partners.
