StayinFront Announces Agreement to Provide Signature Verification Software to Pharmaceutical Industry
Software Integrated in new Signature Compliance Module to Verify Physician Signatures for Fraud Identification and Diversion
FAIRFIELD, N.J. (August 29, 2006) – StayinFront, Inc., a leading global provider of enterprise-wide customer relationship management (CRM) applications, decision support tools, data services, sample inventory management solutions and eBusiness systems, today announced it has signed an agreement with Mitek Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: MITK), a leading provider of image analytics and intelligent character recognition software, to integrate Mitek’s signature validation software into StayinFront’s sample compliance solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.
StayinFront will integrate Mitek’s signature validation engine, SignProtect™, into its new StayinFront Signature Compliance system, which will be available in October 2006 as an add-in module for StayinFront Sample Inventory Management System (SIMS) 9.3 and StayinFront Pharma 9.3. The Signature Compliance system will use previously recorded signatures to create a digital signature “fingerprint” for each physician. Subsequent signatures obtained from the physician can be electronically compared against the fingerprint. Suspicious signatures are escalated to sample accountability administrators for further review and action.
StayinFront Signature Compliance can screen 100 percent of the signatures collected and provide sophisticated analysis, including the identification of suspicious signature patterns such as geographic “clusters” of similar signature characteristics. This streamlined approach to signature validation is designed to help pharmaceutical manufacturers ensure comprehensive compliance with the policies of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and with the regulatory requirements of The Prescription Drug Marketing Act (PDMA) and Controlled Substances Act (CSA).
