Exact Software Announces Availability of Exact Business Analytics 4.6 at Engage 2007 Customer Conference

New enhancements, including Express User Interface, Financial Reporting and Consolidation Modules, improve access to information and analysis throughout the enterprise

DALLAS - March 12, 2007 - Exact Software™, a leading provider of solutions that connect the people, processes and knowledge essential to an organization, today announced the availability of Exact Business Analytics™ (EBA) 4.6 at its North American user conference, Engage 2007, taking place in Dallas this week. Exact Business Analytics is a comprehensive business analytics solution that offers seamless integration with Exact’s ERP product lines, enabling organizations to transform the transactional data in their installed systems into information for managing and improving business performance. EBA 4.6 includes a number of new features and enhancements designed to streamline IT administration and improve the end-user experience.

In order to support its goal of providing the right functionality, to the right user, in a format that delivers real business value, Exact Software has introduced a new Express User Interface (UI) with EBA 4.6. The simplified UI provides a low-cost, entry-level option for users who do not require the full, multi-dimensional analytical capabilities of EBA’s Business User Plus or Power User Interfaces. At the same time, the Express UI retains critical features, such as on-demand data refresh capabilities, with dynamic consolidation across multiple databases; ability to export reports as PDF or Microsoft Excel files; ability to save refreshed views; and seamless integration to more feature rich UIs. With the introduction of the Express UI, Exact has made it simple and cost-effective for mid-market companies to deploy business analytics to a greater number of users throughout the organization without the need for extensive training.

EBA 4.6 also includes a new Financial Reporting and Consolidation module that leverages EBA’s native multi-database access capabilities to significantly streamline the process of creating real-time, consolidated financial reports. The EBA financial reporting hierarchy enables users to easily define financial reporting categories. As a result, the module provides a powerful, flexible way to create comprehensive financial reporting and analysis, while also enabling consolidated financial reporting across any number of non-integrated financial databases.

“Bringing business intelligence to the “masses” is only possible with a complete set of user environments that support the various functional areas and business requirements across the enterprise,” said Anthony Balio, general manager of Exact’s Vanguard Business Analytics division. “With Release 4.6, Exact and Vanguard continue to add powerful new features and functionality that enable mid-market organizations to more easily and cost effectively arm front-line workers in sales, finance, manufacturing and other operational areas of the organization with information and analysis that improves business performance.”

In addition to the new Express UI and Financial Reporting and Consolidation modules, Exact has also enhanced the administrative capabilities of EBA, making it easier to maintain and secure. As a result, EBA 4.6 includes:

  * Improved Windows authentication interoperability, including database-independent single sign    on option and ability to accommodate installations with multiple Windows domains
  * Improved ease of export to Microsoft Excel and Adobe
  * Compatibility with Microsoft Vista and Microsoft Excel 2007
  * Web services-based connection support for client modules and support for Open Business    Information Server (OBIS), a standard Web service that enables secure access to EBA content
  * Multi-database support for core system tables
