ADAPT Says New ADAPTcrm Innovations Will “Leapfrog the Market”
IRVINE, Calif. – January 7, 2003 – ADAPT Software Applications, Inc., Irvine, Calif.-based developer of CRM software, said that in 2003 it will continue to focus on remote connectivity, customization and extending integration of the ADAPTcrm solution to the widest variety of ERP back office solutions. In addition, the company said it is ready to introduce exciting new functionality that promises to “leapfrog the market.”
ADAPTcrm is an enterprise-class software system that enables a business to manage internal resources, customer, supplier and prospect relationships, marketing campaigns, sales opportunities as well as service contracts, warranty programs and incidents within a single, CRM/SRM program. According to ADAPT CEO Brian Dunn, “ADAPTcrm offers all of the key features businesses want in a CRM solution, including marketing campaign, sales opportunity and customer service management, as well as remote (offline and online) user support.” A feature unique to ADAPTcrm is the inclusion of a library of “plug-and-play” accounting/ERP interfaces and a creative, codeless customization system. In addition, ADAPTcrm offers a highly intuitive user interface, which is non-characteristic of most mid-range and high-end enterprise-class CRMs.
In 2002 ADAPT extended integration of its ADAPTcrm to the latest versions and wider variety of ERP solutions, including: BatchMaster, Great Plains, IndustriOS, Macola ES, MAS 90, MAS 200, Platinum for Windows and SYSPRO. New functionalities added to ADAPTcrm included: Advanced business processes automation; Related accounts, tasks, appointments; Interactive scripting capabilities; Extended Microsoft™ Outlook™ integration; Enhanced customer service capabilities; Rights-based security; and a variety of innovative system administration tools.
Additionally, ADAPT added mobility to the ADAPTcrm solution, introducing a powerful new replication tool to support remotely located employees, including field salespeople and service technicians. Users without Internet access can now also run ADAPTcrm “unplugged” from any network and load data bi-directionally with full database synchronization with the main office. The synchronization process can occur via any type of network connection, including LAN, WAN or VPN (over the Internet).
ADAPT also added a built-in, table-based tool for modeling complex business processes. This Process Definition Language (PDL) expands the use of ADAPTcrm beyond traditional customer relationship management to true “computer aided management.” Using PDL, businesses can, among other functions: Automatically trigger processes; Automatically generate alerts to employees and customers; Automate marketing campaigns; Schedule proactive service calls; Automatically respond to Web-based leads; Run telemarketing scripts; and Automatically follow up on important activities.
“In 2002 many CRM solution providers focused on features and functionality but neglected integration, verticalization and remote connectivity issues,” said Dunn. “The primary reasons that CRM systems fall short are lack of integration with back office systems, failure to address specific vertical industry requirements and the neglect of people in the field. Companies spend time and money to create integration, industry specialization and extend functionality to remote users, but often these are just patches that make their systems more cumbersome.”
2003 Breakthroughs
According to Dunn, 2003 will see ADAPT continue to add innovative functionality to the ADAPTcrm solution, greatly enhancing utility and flexibility. ADAPT will shortly introduce a complete, rapid application development environment that enables resellers, consultants and customers to add new features, design screens and new tables to ADAPTcrm – all without writing one line of programming code.
The company also plans to extend CRM capabilities beyond the norm with advanced CTI integration. “We are blending ADAPTcrm front office functions and back office accounting/ERP database integration with voice/telephony systems and the Web,” he said, indicating that the launch will take place in the next several months. In addition, ADAPT plans to extend the ADAPTcrm pre-built accounting/ERP interface library, add additional self-customization capabilities and expand presence into international markets.
“ However,” Dunn said, “ADAPT will continue to concentrate on low cost of ownership and the ability to be quickly implemented, making ADAPTcrm well positioned for consideration by startups, growing mid-sized companies and even industry leaders concerned with the high costs of their existing CRM applications.”
