RightNow and Informatica Team to Optimize the Customer Experience
With Enhanced Integration Capabilities RightNow Continues to Deliver Enterprise-Class On-Demand Solutions
Bozeman, MT (November 7, 2006) — RightNow(R) Technologies (NASDAQ: RNOW) today announced that it will resell the market-leading data integration technology from Informatica (NASDAQ: INFA). Through the combination of Informatica’s data integration technology and RightNow’s service, sales, and marketing solutions, RightNow customers can better take advantage of the vast array of data sources across their organizations.
An exceptional customer experience—the sum of interactions with a company’s products, people and processes—can be the single most powerful way for companies to set themselves apart from competitors. To provide outstanding customer experiences, frontline employees often need information—such as the status of a shipment or a customer’s recent transaction history—that typically resides in multiple, disparate systems. With Informatica’s technology, this information can be made readily available within the RightNow applications that these employees use every day.
“By making the information available at the right time and place, RightNow provides a powerful solution for companies that want to deliver exceptional customer experiences,” said Ron Papas, senior vice president of business development at Informatica. “Informatica makes it easier to integrate the RightNow solutions with ERP systems, data warehouses, analytics applications, and other IT resources that provide information to enhance the customer experience.”
Informatica’s technology will also make it simple for frontline employees to update other enterprise applications with information gained during their interactions with customers, from within their RightNow desktop.
Under the terms of the agreement, RightNow will use Informatica software to help customers streamline and optimize the full range of data integration tasks across their implementation, with Informatica software performing such critical services as data profiling and cleansing, secure data movement, and synchronization with on-premise ERP, CRM, and custom applications.
Informatica provides comprehensive data integration capabilities for all leading computing platforms and applications, including DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, and SAP, Siebel, JDE, and Peoplesoft.
Organizations using RightNow can also take advantage of Informatica’s data quality and cleansing tools to standardize customer addresses, de-duplicate customer records, and ensure that customer information is accurate and consistent across multiple systems.
“Informatica’s technology significantly enhances the integration of RightNow into complex enterprise IT environments,” said Scott Creighton, vice president of business development at RightNow. “This is good news for large global organizations that want to make the most of every customer interaction, without replacing their existing IT investments.”
