RightNow CEO Greg Gianforte Speaks at ETRE 2006

Barcelona, Spain (October 9, 2006) — RightNow(R) Technologies (NASDAQ: RNOW) today announced that its president and CEO Greg Gianforte will discuss the growing role of software-as-a-service in the enterprise market at the European Technology Roundtable Exhibition (ETRE), which opens here today. Gianforte is participating in an ETRE panel session entitled “The Future of Enterprise Software.” Hosted by David Kirkpatrick, senior editor of Fortune Magazine, the panel, taking place today will also feature Patrick Cogny, president and CEO of Genpact Europe; Pierre Haren, president and CEO of ILOG; Stephen Maysonave, president and CEO of Relativity Technologies; and Bob Wiederhold, president and CEO of Transitive Corporation.

Software-as-a-service, also known as “on demand” software, is being widely adopted by Global 2000 corporations as an alternative to conventional, on premise enterprise applications. These conventional enterprise applications frequently entail extended deployment cycles and substantial implementation and consulting costs. In contrast, RightNow’s on demand delivery model provides clients with the functionality of traditional enterprise software at significantly reduced costs. It eliminates the up-front investment and ongoing expenses associated with the IT infrastructure that corporations must incur to support on premise software. RightNow’s on demand offerings also enable rapid deployment, so that clients quickly benefit from the company’s award-winning suite of enterprise service, sales and marketing solutions.
